Want to sneak away and get away from it all? Come check out our private OFF GRID cabin in the beautiful Beltrami State Forest. The Northwoods Chalet has been a labor of love since we bought the property back in 2015. We have physically cleared this property and built all of what is here with our own hands. We are still working on a few projects and plan to add a covered bonfire area next summer. As mentioned the cabin is off grid. However; guests can enjoy all the amenities of having continuous power (and Wifi) with the solar panels and generator provided.

The cabin is tucked away in the towering pines of the forest only a few miles from beautiful Hayes Lake State Park where you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, or fishing. Near the cabin there are numerous hiking, biking, skiing, ATV, and groomed state snowmobile trails.  Many people also enjoy hunting in this area. Don’t forget about Bemis Hill if you enjoy sliding with your family and friends. Bemis is the biggest hill around these parts; so slide with caution. Looking for less adventure; then sit back and relax on our front porch with a cup of coffee or tea and watch all the beautiful birds and wildlife.

The cabin sleeps 9 people. A main bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed, and a loft that sleeps seven (two full size beds along with a bunk and trundle). The cabin also has 1.5 bathrooms, and a washer/dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will ever need and the main living room has a gas fireplace to cozy up to on those chilly nights. We also have a bunkhouse available on the property for an extra fee. This is a great option for groups or large families to add to their vacation. The bunkhouse sleeps 4 in beds and there is a futon for one or two more.

We do allow pets, but we ask to please be respectful of the property. There is a medium size kennel available onsite.

We require a two night minimum at $300.00 per night. Ask about the discounted rate when staying four or more nights. If you need more room add on the bunkhouse for an additional $100 per night. A $100.00 (cabin) or $150 (cabin + bunkhouse) security deposit is required per day.
